On Wednesday 7th December, Universities UK hosted a conference focused on enhancing the student experience. At the conference, Colin Charlton, Business Development Manager, Pythagoras, hosted a panel discussion about what defines the student experience in the millennial generation and where exactly does it start. Joining Colin on stage were-
David Muuti, Head of IT Programme Management, University of Greenwich; Nick Cole, Associate IT Director, Leeds Beckett University; Paul Colbran, Director of IT, Southampton Solent University.
Question Three: How important is the role of technology in enhancing the student experience?
Institutions need to invest in CRM technology and grasp that the role of technology needs to be around the experience it generates for students. By standardising processes, institutions risk missing the opportunity. User adoption is key; adoption is the piece that is the biggest challenge around new technology and its likely success in the business.
