The Microsoft CRM Social Networking Accelerator for Twitter
allows business professionals to monitor and analyse customers'
conversations on social networking sites, and as a result, provides
real-time status updates about their products and services all from
within Microsoft CRM. This accelerator delivers integration with
Twitter. Other networks will be introduced in future
releases. The accelerator is the latest move for Microsoft
CRM so that organisations can latch onto the popular micro-blogging
service.
The main objective of this Microsoft CRM add-on is the
conversations that occur on Twitter will provide insights into what
customers are thinking about sellers and their brands thereby
identifying influential people. These contacts will appear within
Microsoft Dynamics CRM and can be converted into a typical lead or
case within the system. It is also meant to help users to boost
their sales databases. The Twitter usernames can be converted into
a typical Dynamics CRM customer record or sales lead to which more
data, such as phone number and address, can be added over time.
Core to the new Microsoft CRM Twitter accelerator is a social
networks dashboard and reporting functionality. The dashboard gives
an overview on how successful and active a company's social network
presence is. The dashboard makes it easy for Microsoft CRM users to
identify and discover the people and conversations about products
and services and see the response they get from certain postings.
The dashboard's can be drilled down to reveal influencers and
leads.
