The British Museum
Dynamics 365 Solution
The British Museum was founded in 1753, the first national public museum in the world. From the beginning it granted free admission to all ‘studious and curious persons’. Visitor numbers have grown from around 5,000 a year in the eighteenth century to nearly six million today.
In 2009, the Museum was awarded the Carbon Trust Standard for its efforts to reduce its carbon footprint.
From what Pythagoras delivered, it’s exactly what we wanted. We had a great brainstorming day with the Pythagoras team who really took the time to grasp what the Museum was all about; what the Museum were doing; and what our needs were.
The new CRM system does exactly what we have asked it to do, and the personalisation of the system has been very useful to reflect exactly we wanted it to show. I think what we are expecting it to do once it has been further populated with our data, is the Museum will be able to use more of the tools such as for reporting and document pulling. It’s now up to us (the team) to move away from our existing processes, and adopt the new CRM system; it’s just time that it needs now.
