Pythagoras Communications Acquires FMI Business Solutions Group

Integrated Software Specialist Boosts Client Base by 250 Accounts

12 December 2007 – Pythagoras Communications, a leading UK provider of integrated business software solutions, today announced that it has acquired London-based FMI Business Solutions Group (BSG) in a deal that will increase its market share within the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and accounting sectors. The combined turnover of the expanded Pythagoras Communications is expected to be approximately £7.2 million.

All existing accounts and clients at FMI BSG will be taken over by the new owners.  All are set to benefit from the larger resource and support base as a result of the acquisition, enabling Pythagoras to provide customers with a complete front-to-back office solution. All of BSG’s staff will also transition to Pythagoras, bringing with them more than 24 years experience in implementing IT solutions for business intelligence, accounting, customer management, budget planning and training, and accreditation from vendors including Cognos, Business Objects, Microsoft and Sage.

Pythagoras Communications, which recently won the Sage CRM Business Partner of the Year 2007 award, will increase the number of services and products available to its customers following this acquisition, including a stronger offering for ERP and accounting.
