It goes without saying that Office 365 has revolutionised workforces; it has launched a better, more productive way of working. We have written recently on some of Office 365’s newest features such as Groups, as well as how it can be used to motivate employees, and even how it can be useful for the likes of Father Christmas; it really is for everyone.

In celebration of St David’s Day, we thought it would be an excellent opportunity to find out how some specific features of Office 365 are championed, and who better to ask than the Davids of Pythagoras. We have asked them to share their favourite features of Office 365 and how it helps them in their day-to-day working life.

“One of the key features of Office 365 is being available to access it from any device anywhere you can get a connection. I had an incident last week where I arrived at a customer site ready to show a selection of pre-prepared demos I had stored in CRM Online. However, my laptop locked me out and refused to recognise my password. In the old days of having demos on local devices or dedicated hosting I would have been completely stuffed! Fortunately, I was able to log onto the Office 365 tenancy from a colleague’s machine and accessed my demos. The day was saved.”

“Pythagoras utilise Agile for effective project delivery, meaning consultants have greater flexibility but also responsibility in managing their own time. Fortunately, OneNote integrates with Outlook! This allows for notes from project meetings to be flagged as tasks with deadlines and reminders in the Outlook calendar. Tasks can even be tagged to categorise them with like-to do items or to prioritise them. This can make everyone’s working life a lot smoother.”

“Coming at this from an IT/administration point of view, the best feature of Office 365 is definitely the centralised administration console giving access to all everyday tasks to IT administrators in a single portal, be it billing, subscriptions, user/mailbox configuration, security changes etc.
Microsoft are gradually integrating their other acquisitions/products such as Yammer, Parature etc. so it is definitely a work in progress, but it is evolving for the better!”
