Dynamics CRM Ideas: A New Portal for your Suggestions and Feedback to Microsoft
By Dave Cryer, Pre-Sales Consultant, Pythagoras.
Microsoft have just launched a new ‘ideas’ based service to replace the old Connect feedback site, where Dynamics CRM users can submit ideas and requests for change; add comments, and vote for existing ones in the portal.
Derived from the technology Microsoft acquired from Adxstudio in October last year, the ideas components form part of the CRM Portals add-on product. Users can quickly deploy the add-on product through their CRM portal to start engaging with their customers; get feedback on their products and services, and receive ideas to consider for incorporation into product development roadmaps. Those working in the public sector can use the CRM Portal ‘ideas’ feature to get feedback and conduct consultations on major new initiatives and service enhancements.
Here’s a breakdown of the portal:
The portal covers CRM, Marketing, Social Engagement, and Parature –
For each area it shows the top, hot, and new topics –
You can filter by category –
You can search the forum –
Results Screen –
And drill down to a topic –
You can register with the site with a Microsoft Live ID account, and then post your own suggestions and add comments to existing ones –
And vote on an existing suggestion –
Microsoft will update the status of the suggestions as they review them –
Eventually some of the ideas are launched and may be included in future releases.
