Power Apps Spotlight

Get Power Apps insight and inspiration specific to your sector with our new webinar series

Over the past year we have seen huge growth in the interest and usage of Microsoft Power Apps from a wide variety of organisations.

The disruption of 2020 has made leaders rethink how they architect business processes, favouring low-code alternatives that will give them the agility and flexibility they need to rapidly add and update business applications to suit changing needs of their staff.

It’s clear that low-code will play a crucial role in ongoing business application development. With 500 million apps predicted to be built in the next 5 years, organisations will not have the resources to keep up with these requirements using traditional development methods. In fact, Gartner predicts that 65% of enterprise application development will be in the low-code category by 2024.

We’re seeing some excellent use cases for Power Apps within our customer base, which we’ve enjoyed discussing in our regular PowerAppathon events. To make sure we can highlight the specific opportunities of the platform and inspire some ideas, we wanted to create a space that brings together organisations with similar sector focuses that face similar business challenges and get talking about some specific Power Apps examples.

We are therefore happy to announce our new event series: Power Apps Spotlight

In this new series, run in collaboration with Phoenix, we will shine a light on the possibilities for Power Apps in selected sectors.

Each session will take a closer look at the opportunities and applications of Power Apps for a specific audience, supported by use-cases and ideas from the real world. By the end of the session, attendees will have a good understanding of the possibilities of the platform; appropriate use-cases for the sector; the licencing implications; benefits to be realised, and ways to get started.

To kick off this virtual series, we’ll be focusing on Fire and Rescue. We’re delighted to be joined by Jeremy Sanders-Smith, who has led a project with Pythagoras to implement a photo capture Power App for London Fire Brigade.
