Business Development Manager (Higher Education)
We work with our clients to nurture leads and provide information about Pythagoras and our services. To help take us to the next level, we’re looking for a talented individual to work with our customers to build sales opportunities, working closely with the Customer Success team to ensure clients remain engaged with Pythagoras in account management phase.
Job in a nutshell
Identify new business opportunities and establish relationships in order to ensure continued business growth within your given sector, and meet your sales target via new business.
Work in Partnership with the Pre-Sales team to proactively sell multi-technology projects to meet the customer’s requirements.
Manage the tender process to win new business and agree pricing in partnership with the Delivery and Pre-Sales teams.
Ensure handovers with the Delivery teams are completed in order to deliver customer expectations.
Ensure our reputation and high standards are maintained at all times as a representative of Pythagoras.
Mentor the Customer Success team in order to educate them in your specialist sector.

What sets you apart
While we don’t expect you to have all of the skills you’ll need to succeed in the role from the outset, you must be enthusiastic and determined to learn new things. We are looking for recent graduates who have an interest in pursuing a career in sales, and who are energetic, tenacious and looking to work within a fast paced sales environment.
You’ll also have:
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Solution products, e.g. Dynamics CRM, Azure, Office 365, etc.
A solid track record of new business IT sales achievement.
Able to show consistent sales revenue achievements during their career.
Strong writing skills to co-author engaging and informative tender document.
Knowledge and/or experience with software supporting business operations.
Experience observing and applying market trends to gain strategic advantage and increased sales.
Resilient, not afraid to take a calculated risk, and able to deliver during times of pressure.
