Gatwick’s 2600-strong workforce receive all company communication within one centralised portal
Gatwick airport is the second largest airport in the UK, located 28 miles south of the capital. Branded the most efficient single-runway airport in the world, Gatwick serves more than 200 worldwide destinations for 38,000,000 passengers a year.
Pythagoras were approached to replace Gatwick’s existing intranet with a solution that boosts productivity by facilitating more effective communication, collaboration and automation.
Crucially, via a responsive design, the new intranet will need to offer mobile and non-pc access for the 2600-strong workforce, many of whom are not office-based or on-site full time.
Since deployment, Gatwick Airport can now publish online regular news, messages and events information to all employees, negating the use of hard copy handouts. The Yammer social network platform has also been utilised, enhancing collaboration across teams and adding value to individuals.
Pythagoras has provided us with a bespoke solution to suit our individual needs. With over half our workforce working remotely, this mobile friendly solution will help us make the same information resource available to everyone working at Gatwick.
