Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement
Licence Mapping
Microsoft has announced some Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement licensing changes that will be enforced as of December 2020. Some of these changes include restricting the usage of the Team Member Dynamics 365 licence; the deprecation of some legacy licences, and changes to the way storage is calculated and costed. By December 2020, all organisations must ensure that their Team Member licences are being used according to new guidelines.
To help organisations prepare for this change, we have put together a package designed to review your existing licensing estate and highlight any changes that will have to be made to meet new guidelines.
During this engagement, our consultants will map your existing licences onto the new licensing model and make you aware of any changes to the cost of these your Dynamics 365 user licences or data storage.
There are often changes we can make to a Dynamics 365 system that reduce the overall licensing spend. For example, removing one full Dynamics 365 licence can create savings of up to £860 per year, and saving 1GB of storage could save up to £360 annually. Some cost saving changes we will explore include:
Following the two-day engagement, we will provide you with a report that details your existing licence estate and what this will look like under the new licence model. We’ll also provide a list of recommendations for reducing the cost of your licensing going forward, if there is any way that your overall costs could be consolidated.
